Biarritz
After a stroll around the famous Hossegor lake, discover Biarritz, a charming town in the Basque country known worldwide for its beach, its casino and its surf spots. A popular holiday destination since the end of the 19th century, the town and the whole region are full of resources for young and old that are sure to leave their mark.
Highlights include downtown Biarritz, the Côte des Basques beach, the lighthouse, the Virgin Rock and the aquarium. Nearby, you'll find lakes Marion and Mouriscot, the famous town of Bayonne known for its legendary férias, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Anglet and its waves ideal for surfing, or the village of Espelette and its famous peppers. The villa's ideal location will also enable you to take advantage of the many golf courses in the region, including Seignosse and Chiberta.
A few kilometers away, the Spanish Basque Country also offers some nice nuggets to discover: The city of San Sebastian, the Balenciaga museum in Getaria, the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao...
